New Skills – New Website
As designers and developers grow their skill set, it’s natural to want to impliment new techniques and ways to do things in our own personal projects. I have learned a lot in a short period of time about web development in Wordpress and was very eager to shift the direction I was going as a freelancer, especially in my website.

As a newcomer in the world of freelance design, I am finding myself studying those who have had a certain level of success. Everybody gets some sort of newsletter in their inbox, whether it be from another blogger within a specific niche, restaurants, churches, sporting events, concert updates, etc. Why? Because they work.
The main purpose of a newsletter is to inform, promote, and make the user engage by completing a sale with a call to action or driving more traffic to the company’s website. Most businesses should be utilizing an e-blast of some sort to promote and sell their products or services, depending on your industry.
Freelancer Subscription Must-Haves
Being a freelancer graphic designer, website developer, or anything on your own working from home is hard work. There’s absolutely no doubt about it. That’s why there are other great entrepreneurs and companies that you should be following who are successful and can get tips and tricks from. That’s why there are blogs and twitterers that you should be following for tutorials and finding out new and easier ways to do things. Below is a list of subscriptions, whether it be a magazine, a blog that I follow religiously, or a twitter friend that I keep up with because of the relevancy of their information. This is all meant to keep you in the know and on top of your game!
