As a newcomer in the world of freelance design, I am finding myself studying those who have had a certain level of success. I am trying to learn from others who have paved their paths in the passion we share as designers. I am learning as time goes on and the more I study the successes of others, that there is so much to learn, so much to gain, so much to be hopeful for.

I am slowly learning, as all new business-owners all over the world do when they are just starting out, that there is a never-ending need to learn. Learn more about yourself, the industry you are in, the trends that are coming and the fads that are disappearing… Learning is growing, and growing in every aspect you can is what makes a successful person successful.

Being a freelancer graphic designer, website developer, or anything on your own working from home is hard work. There’s absolutely no doubt about it. That’s why there are other great entrepreneurs and companies that you should be following who are successful and can get tips and tricks from. That’s why there are blogs and twitterers that you should be following for tutorials and finding out new and easier ways to do things.
